"Well, I've been working on some stuff, but it is... highly experimental." - Delta, during Nozomi and Doggo's Grand Adventure

Delta, the Creator is one of the two Creators, and is known as The Creator. Delta embodies creation. He is a self-insert character of Delta0212.

Delta first appears at the end of Cuphead 3: Please Don't Sue Us Edition. He later appears again at the end of Cuphead 3: Game of the Year Edition and Cuphead 3: Finale. While he was fightable in Cuphead 3: Please Don't Sue Us Edition, he is not fightable in the other two games. Delta made a short appearance at the beginning of BA Legends: Dr Gucci. He appeared again first as a playable character and later as a fightable superboss in Nozomi and Doggo's Grand Adventure. He appears as the final boss of Delta's Laboratory, and is later fought alongside Ipsilon at the Gates of Time within the Spacial Rift. Though it is not stated, it is likely Delta is the voice that talks to the player after the credits of Nozomi and Doggo's Grand Adventure.

Delta returns in Grand Adventure: Dawn of the Prequel, making cameos in Raid 2 and Old Lords' Day Festival.

Delta has a route in Valentine's Day Got Moved to Early December and Your Only Date Options are Characters from the Hit Video Game Franchise Produced by BA Games.

Delta primarily uses his sword, The Edge of Sanity, a black and green one-handed sword. He loses the weapon shortly before the events of Escape the Void, and finds Lost Wanderer in the Void. After escaping the Void, he dual wields it with the Edge of Sanity. He states that he rarely uses his Creation abilities in combat as it wouldn't have much use, and his swords are more effective, as well as being used to using them.

 Story[]

Before Cuphead 3: Please Don't Sue Us Edition[]

Delta and Ipsilon created The Universe utilizing the power of the Orb of Ultimate Creation, causing it to go dormant. There, Delta created Memetopia around the Orb of Ultimate Memestruction, and watched the War of the Orb unfold. After a hundred years, SiIvaGunner was the victor. However, the Orb was far more powerful than they expected, and they had no way to stop the far too powerful Consumer of Egg. The Creators split the universe into 420, giving 320 of them new Lords, and giving 100 of them to those who had fought in the War of the Orb, naming them Old Lords.

Cuphead 3: Please Don't Sue Us Edition[]

The Creators then rested for over a century, before awakening due to the death of Dr Gucci. They found none other than Jeff Cuphead had defeated him, after losing all of his memories. Interested, they attempted to test his power, but ended up collapsing the universe due to lack of a Lord. The Creators watched Jeff Cuphead on his adventure, until he returned to his old universe.

Cuphead 3: Finale[]

The Creators saw that the Dabiverse had been taken by SiIvaGunner, and helped Jeff Cuphead to defeat him. After the battle with SiIvaGunner, all seemed well, and the Orb of Ultimate Creation had been awakened.

Abilities[]

Delta is shown many times to have the power of Creation, able to instantly create anything from nothing. This power is used to create objects, people, terrain, and even universes and Realms. Delta presumably used this power to create the Void and Infinite Prism to trap Mario and The Void Lord in, as well as creating The Universe and all its inhabitants, and the further universes. He uses these powers freely, and there seems to be no limit to them. Delta is also extremely fast.

Personality[]

Delta is shown to be very laid-back, and relatively apathetic to most characters, shown when he is reluctant to help Jeff Cuphead in Cuphead 3: Finale. He rarely cares much about what's going on, but becomes involved in very dire situations. Rather than having individual people in mind, he cares about the Multiverse as a whole, shown when he uses everything he has to defeat Mario.

Delta is also fairly unorganized in his laboratory, and can occasionally let his experiments get out of hand, as seen in Nozomi and Doggo's Grand Adventure. He has trouble finding his things, including the gear he was giving to the main party.

Appearance[]

In the Cuphead 3 Trilogy, Delta appears with the body of a normal human, wearing a blue plaid short-sleeved shirt and jeans. His right leg is replaced with a blue rectangle. His head is replaced with a green impossible triangle.

In Nozomi and Doggo's Grand Adventure, Delta's overworld sprite shows a near-silhouette image, with all his features except his eyes being black. His battle sprite is similar to his original image, but he is wearing a black jacket and green shirt. His shirt has a darker green triangle with some writing under it, presumably his name. His belt also has a delta symbol. He later states this is his merch. He also has the Lost Wanderer floating behind him, in the same way he wields it in Escape the Void. The Edge of Sanity is floating upside-down in front of him.

In Valentine's Day Got Moved to Early December and Your Only Date Options are Characters from the Hit Video Game Franchise Produced by BA Games, Delta has new art. He is floating in the air without his swords, with an outfit very similar to his battle sprite from Nozomi and Doggo's Grand Adventure. However, he now has a grey shirt and a necklace with a green pendant, and his belt no longer has the Delta symbol. The shades of most colors on his outfit are slightly different, and he is giving a peace sign.

Battle[]

"So, you beat our game..." - Delta, before his boss fight in Cuphead 3: Please Don't Sue Us Edition.

Cuphead 3: Please Don't Sue Us Edition[]

Delta and Ipsilon fight together, each taking turns attacking. The fight is unfinished, however, due to project size limitations. Part of the fight still exists, and they use these attacks:

  • Edge of Sanity: Delta will quickly slash across the screen four times, making warning lines going horizontally, vertically, and diagonally. After a short time, these will turn into damaging lines.
  • Spacial Rend: Ipsilon will use his sword to slash much slower, first vertically down, then top-left to bottom-right, then top-right to bottom-left. These slashes are followed by a large, grey trail.
  • Knuckles Barrage: A large amount of lasers will appear from the right side of the screen and move to the left.

The boss fight ends here, and the Creators both explode. A longer boss fight was planned, but Please Don't Sue Us Edition hit the file size limit.

Nozomi and Doggo's Grand Adventure (Delta's Laboratory)[]

Delta is one of the two creator fights in the game, meant to be fought at level 70. He is fought at the end of Delta's Laboratory. If Ipsilon has also been defeated, Delta will remove the level cap, allowing the party to reach up to level 99.

Strategy[]

Delta always attacks twice every turn. Combined with Delta's powerful offensive stats and skills, the party will be severely damaged each and every turn. However, Delta has no health-based attacks like many other bosses do, so damaging him will not have any negative effects. He does, however, have dialogue at 50%, 20%, and 10% health. Delta's 999 Agility means he will always attack first.

When Delta is in his base form, called Chill Form, his attacks will be relatively manageable. It is advised to do as much damage as possible when Delta is in this form, as this will become more difficult later on. When Delta has used Channel Rage three times, he will enter his Rage Form. His attacks here become more powerful, and Void Web can both stun and damage party members. More items and healing abilities should be used here. Once Delta has used Channel Void three times, he enters Void Rage form. At this point, the best strategy is to heal and use items constantly, as Delta's damage output is immense. Doggo should be kept at very high health, so that he can survive Apotheosis Null. The rest of the party's health should also be kept high, as Doggo will likely not survive the next turn by himself. Once Delta uses Apotheosis Null, he will return to Chill Form.

Nozomi and Doggo's Grand Adventure (Gates of Time)[]

This battle can only be started once Dayman, Ixerna, Delta, and Ipsilon have been defeated. Delta is fought alongside Ipsilon.

Strategy[]

While their stats are massively increased, both Creators have the same moveset as before. Due to Event Horizon, it is advisable to defeat Delta first. The player should also be level 99 and have obtained the Ultimate Weapons before attempting this fight.

Gameplay[]

For Delta's skills and stats, see Trillid (Class).

Delta is a Trillid. During Nozomi and Doggo's Grand Adventure, he temporarily joins the party when they are in the Void. He is only in the party during the fight against Old YouTube. Delta battles automatically, and cannot be controlled. He has the Sword and John Wick's Suit equipped.

Musical Themes[]

In Cuphead 3: Please Don't Sue Us Edition, the Creators used Sweet Melty Memes as their theme.

During BA Legends: Dr Gucci, Through the Fire and Flames plays while Delta is onscreen.

In Nozomi and Doggo's Grand Adventure, Delta's theme was changed to World Fragments I. When he is later fought alongside Ipsilon, ANiMA plays.

As part of The Ultimate Gamer, Delta's theme becomes One Last Dab.

During Delta's route in Valentine's Day Got Moved to Early December and Your Only Date Options are Characters from the Hit Video Game Franchise Produced by BA Games, Happy End of the World plays after a certain point.
