"The Idealist, omniscient god of light. He resides in DA ROOM." - Description from Nozomi and Doggo's Grand Adventure
Ipsilon, the Idealist is one of the two Creators and is known as The Sophic or The Idealist. Ipsilon is the self-insert character of LilCupMan_Vevo.
Ipsilon is first seen as a secret boss in Cuphead 3: Please Don't Sue Us Edition, after the credits, where he is fought alongside Delta. He later made an appearance in a cutscene in Cuphead 3: Finale, and was once again a boss in Nozomi and Doggo's Grand Adventure. He appears as the final boss of The Cathedral, and is later fought alongside Delta at the Gates of Time within the Spacial Rift.
Ipsilon returns in Grand Adventure: Dawn of the Prequel. He makes his first appearance in person watching a rap battle in gm_construct and makes another cameo during the Old Lords' Day Festival Quest.
Story[]
Before Cuphead 3: Please Don't Sue Us Edition[]
Delta was spawned during the epic battle between Mario and the Void Lord, along with Ipsilon, the other Creator, and the Orb of Ultimate Creation. He and Ipsilon locked away the weakened beings and created the Universe, exhausting most of their power and causing the Orb of Ultimate Creation to go dormant. There he created Memetopia around the Orb of Ultimate Memestruction, and watched the War of the Orb unfold. After a hundred years, SiIvaGunner was the victor. However, the Orb was far more powerful than they expected, and they had no way to stop the far too powerful Consumer of Egg. The Creators split the universe into 420, giving 320 of them new Lords, and giving 100 of them to those who had fought in the War of the Orb, naming them Old Lords.
Cuphead 3: Please Don't Sue Us Edition[]
The Creators then rested for over a century, before awakening due to the death of Dr Gucci. They found none other than Jeff Cuphead had defeated him, after losing all of his memories. Interested, they attempted to test his power, but ended up collapsing the universe due to lack of a Lord. The Creators watched Jeff Cuphead on his adventure, until he returned to his old universe.
Cuphead 3: Finale[]
The Creators saw it had been taken by SiIvaGunner, and helped Jeff Cuphead to defeat him. After the battle with SiIvaGunner, all seemed well, and the Orb of Ultimate Creation had been awakened.
Apperance[]
Ipsilon is a humanoid with crossed arms and a white shirt. He wears black pants, though it is cut off just below the waist. His head is a white circle with a black border, and an hourglass symbol in the middle. He wears a gold watch.
In battle, Ipsilon wields his bow, Event Horizon. This is an ornate black bow with a black hole where the tip of an arrow would normally be.
Abilities[]
Ipsilon is the Idealist, and is mostly omniscient. He knows everything that has happened, is happening, and will happen. He can use this to outsmart nearly any opponent in battle. The only drawback to Ipsilon's omniscience is that it is connected to fate. Anything that manipulates fate, such as powerful magic or godlike abilities, will render Ipsilon unable to predict the future accurately.
Ipsilon also has powerful Light magic, as well as access to Time and even Pure type magic.
Battle[]
Cuphead 3: Please Don't Sue Us Edition[]
Delta and Ipsilon fight together, each taking turns attacking. The fight is unfinished, however, due to project size limitations. Part of the fight still exists, and they use these attacks:
- Edge of Sanity: Delta will quickly slash across the screen four times, making warning lines going horizontally, vertically, and diagonally. After a short time, these will turn into damaging lines.
- Spacial Rend: Ipsilon will use his sword to slash much slower, first vertically down, then top-left to bottom-right, then top-right to bottom-left. These slashes are followed by a large, grey trail.
- Knuckles Barrage: A large amount of lasers will appear from the right side of the screen and move to the left.
The boss fight ends here, and the Creators both explode. A longer boss fight was planned, but Please Don't Sue Us Edition hit the file size limit.
Nozomi and Doggo's Grand Adventure (The Cathedral)[]
Stats:[]
Max HP | Max MP | Attack | Defense | Magic Attack | Magic Defense | Agility | Luck |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
25000 | 9999 | 130 | 100 | 130 | 100 | 1 | 400 |
Attacks:[]
- Shining Arrows
- Crack The Sky
- Megidoloan
- Prosperity
- Omniscience
- Chronostasis (Uncommonly)
- Purity (On reaching 50% Health the first time)
- Radiant Flames (On reaching 50% Health the second time)
- Event Horizon (On reaching 30% and 20% Health)
Strategy[]
Ipsilon's attacks can be incredibly deadly, but his 1 Agility and use of buff moves means they may be avoidable. Notably, it is advised to save Il Vento D'Oro for when Ipsilon uses Prosperity, as his next attack will be a guaranteed critical hit. Il Vento D'Oro can be used to put him Outside of Time, making so it he cannot deal the critical blow. When Ipsilon reaches 50% Health for the first time, he will use Purity, ridding himself of most debuffs and healing by 10,000 Health. Upon reaching 50% Health again, he will use Radiant Flames, dealing massive damage over time to the party. At both 30% and 20% health, he will delete a party member from the battle, leaving only two. However, unlike Ixerna, he has no more DMs after his deletion moves.
Nozomi and Doggo's Grand Adventure (Gates of Time)[]

Strategy[]
While their stats are massively increased, both Creators have the same moveset as before. Due to Event Horizon, it is advisable to defeat Delta first. The player should also be level 99 and have obtained the Ultimate Weapons before attempting this fight.
Musical Themes[]
In Cuphead 3: Please Don't Sue Us Edition, the Creators used Sweet Melty Memes as their theme. In Nozomi and Doggo's Grand Adventure, Ipsilon's theme was changed to Ascension to Heaven. When he is later fought alongside Delta, ANiMA plays.
